Go City Dubai Pass Review: Is it Worth it? [2024]

Looking to save money and time on your visit to Dubai? This comprehensive Go Dubai Pass review will help you decide if the Go City Dubai Pass is for you!

You’re probably planning your visit to Dubai (lucky you!) and wondering if buying the Go Dubai Pass is a good idea, and worth the price.

This Go Dubai card includes access to more than 45 attractions (to some of the best things to do in Dubai) and it allows you to save money if your goal is to see as many landmarks as possible. It also saves you time, because you’ll get to skip the line and book your time slots ahead.

But city passes are not for everyone, and in this review, you’ll find out if the Go Dubai Pass is what you’re looking for. Let’s get started!

WHAT DOES THE GO DUBAI PASS INCLUDE?

There are two types of Go Dubai Pass available from Go City; the All-Inclusive Pass and the Explorer Pass. So, what’s the difference between them?

▶ The Go City All-Inclusive Pass includes access to over 45 different attractions which you can enjoy during 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7 days, depending on your schedule and preferences. This Dubai unlimited attractions pass is perfect for those who want to see as many attractions as possible and don’t mind having packed days or rushing from one activity to the next one.

▶ The Go City Explorer Pass allows you to select the number of attractions you wish to visit, from 3 to 7, and you’ll have 60 days to check them out. You don’t need to decide beforehand which attractions in particular you want to see, only how many. This option is for those who like to take it slow and experience the city at their own pace.

ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES INCLUDED IN THE GO DUBAI PASS: PRICE BREAKDOWN

The Go Dubai Pass includes access to most of the popular tourist attractions in Dubai. These are some of the most important ones that you’ll find included in the pass with their price breakdown.

⚠️ Please note that the price of the passes and of the single attractions mentioned in this post are accurate at the time of writing, and might differ by the time you read this post.

At the Top – Burj Khalifa – AED 234.00 (around 63 USD at the time of writing)
The Burj Khalifa hardly needs an introduction. Inaugurated in 2010, it’s the tallest tower in the world and it has become one of the top attractions in Dubai. The views from this skyscraper are incomparable, and it should definitely be on top of your list.

To avoid the crowds it’s best to visit late in the morning or in the evening after sunset. If you’re looking for a breathtaking view, seeing the city at night is an unworldly experience!

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo – AED 120.00 (around 32 USD)
The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is home to thousands of aquatic animals, more than 140 species overall that include crocodiles, otters and Humboldt penguins. The 10 million liter tank hosts over 400 sharks and rays, which you can see as you make your way through the aquarium tunnel. It’s definitely an experience for the whole family!

Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis the Palm – AED 345.00 (94 USD)
This waterpark is the ultimate aquatic adventure, with zip lines, slides through shark-filled lagoons, access to a private beach, and countless child-friendly areas for a good splash. It’s the go-to activity for a day of fun and relaxation.

Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis the Park – AED 115.00 (31 USD)
The Lost Chambers is an Atlantis-themed aquarium with underwater tunnels and halls where you can explore the lost civilization and learn about the marine life that lives among the ruins. It’s the largest open-air marine habitat in the Middle East, and quite an experience to visit.

Big Bus Dubai Panoramic Tour – AED 180.00 (49 USD)
This Panoramic Tour takes you to Dubai’s most iconic landmarks with a cultural commentary included in 12 languages. You can get comfortable and enjoy the two-hour sightseeing tour, or hop off to explore a specific location and hop on later to continue the tour, whatever suits you best.

IMG Worlds of Adventure – AED 325.00 (88 USD)
IMG Worlds of Adventure is the world’s largest indoor theme park with five themed adventure zones that feature rides, live shows, and tons of action. From Marvel adventures to dinosaur experiences, there’s an activity for everyone!

Sunset Dinner Cruise Dubai Marina – AED 210.00 (57 USD)
The Sunset Dinner Cruise offers you a five-star dinner that you can enjoy as you cruise the waters of the Persian Gulf at sunset. One of the best things to do in Dubai at night.

Ski Dubai Ski Slope – AED 220.00 (60 USD)
Who said skiing in Dubai isn’t possible? Escape the city’s heat to experience skiing in the world’s largest indoor ski park. It’s a fun activity for grown-ups and children alike, and you’ll forget that you’re in Dubai for a couple of hours.

Desert safari and BBQ Dinner – AED 289.00 (78 USD)
The Dubai Desert Safari and BBQ Dinner offers a night like no other. Head into the desert in a 4×4 and enjoy an Arabic welcome at a Bedouin-style camp. Go camel riding, sandboarding, get a henna tattoo, and watch a belly-dance show before having a traditional Arabic dinner with dessert and beverages.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi – AED 310.00 (84 USD)
At Ferrari World Abu Dhabi you’ll find Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest roller coaster. If you’re an adrenaline junkie you’re in the right place, because you’ll be able to enjoy unlimited rides at a top speed of 240 km/h! It’s definitely not an activity for the faint of heart, though.

Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi – AED 295.00 (80 USD)
This theme park features six themed lands with 29 exhilarating rides, live shows and interactive attractions for an unforgettable family day.

Morning Desert Safari in Abu Dhabi – AED 300.00 (around 81 USD)
On this half-day adventure in the desert, you’ll travel to the heart of the Abu Dhabi desert for some dune bashing in a 4×4, camel riding, sandboarding and traditional Arabic entertainment. Reservations must be made at least 24hs in advance with the Go Pass Dubai.

HOW MUCH THE GO DUBAI PASS COSTS?

The Go Dubai All-Inclusive Pass for three days, which is the most popular choice, costs AED 1469 (407 dollars) at the time of writing. The 2-day pass costs AED 1149 (319 dollars) and the 7-day pass, the maximum number of days, costs AED 2349 (652 dollars).

The Go Dubai Explorer Pass for 3 choices costs, at the time of writing, AED 624 (173 dollars). If you want to go with the 7 attractions it costs AED 1249 (347 dollars).

IS THE GO DUBAI PASS WORTH IT?

Maybe, or maybe not. It depends on how much you’re planning to see during your trip, and how many attractions you want to access and what kind of attractions they are – are they expensive or cheaper ones?

➤ To determine if the GO Dubai Pass is worth it for you, first do some research and make a list of the attractions you’re interested in seeing.

➤ Then, try and make a realistic plan and decide how many days it’s going to take you to see them. Don’t exaggerate with too many attractions per day! I underlined realistic because people tend to underestimate the time it takes them to visit each place, to move from one attraction to the other, and don’t consider any time for breaks and not enough time for lunch and dinner.

➤ Finally, compare the prices of the single attractions and the price of the pass, and determine if the pass will save you money.

If this sounds like a lot of work, you can also check out the example itinerary I made for you down below.

Sample Itinerary for the GO Dubai All Inclusive Pass

Most visitors spend around 2 to 5 days in Dubai, so I’ve drafted an example of an itinerary for 3 days in Dubai.

In the itinerary I break down the price for each attraction if bought separately, and I calculate how much you can save by buying the GO Dubai All-Inclusive Pass

This is just a sample itinerary to understand if the pass represents good value for money, do not take it literally as it might not be the best itinerary for everyone.

WHO IS THE GO DUBAI PASS FOR?

This Dubai attractions pass is a great option for certain types of travelers.

The Go Dubai Explorer Pass is for people who are spending a long time in the city and want to see the main attractions at a slower pace. It’s useful for families that don’t want to rush, and for new expats to the city (that’s what we did). Also, it’s ideal for people who prioritize convenience.

The Go Dubai All-Inclusive Pass is for people who have limited time in Dubai and want to make the most of it. People who don’t mind rushing, and that don’t want to spend too many hours in each attraction. Families with older children could also go with the All-Inclusive Pass (there are tons of attractions that are kid-friendly)

WHO IS THE GO DUBAI PASS NOT FOR?

None of the Go Dubai tourist attraction passes are for budget travelers, as you will save money, but Dubai attractions in general are pretty expensive!

The All-Inclusive Pass is also not for families with small children or people who like to take their time at each attraction and don’t want to run from one to the other.

WHERE TO BUY THE GO DUBAI PASS

You can buy the Go Dubai Pass here and save it in the Go City app; you then show it at every attraction on your phone, no need to print it!

I’m at Dubai Burj Al Arab NOW with 2 Adult and 2 Kids passes. Burj Al Arab policy for kids age is under 11.00. But this is not mentioned anywhere in Go City website.

I rang them and told them that I’m happy to pay the difference of adult and child fee ($70) and re issue with child tickets with adult tickets. They are saying because it was used at one place before they can’t do anything.

Now I’m worried about the other 3 attractions I’ve booked for next days. Especially the desert safari at night, if they going to allow us.

Hi Roshi, I’m sorry this happened to you! How old are your kids? In their FAQs, GoCity states “ Our child passes are for ages three to 12.”
